REGIONAL INSTALLATION CLASSES
ACPA-NW TRAINING
Pipe Fundamentals (1 Hour)
Learning Objective: Provide attendees with a detailed understanding on the differences between rigid and flexible pipe materials.
Course Overview: Learn the differences between rigid and flexible pipe materials and considerations during design, installation, and inspection. Learn how properly selecting pipes based on different applications will increase the longevity and value of infrastructure by reducing potential failures and decreasing maintenance costs. This course can empower specifiers, designers, inspectors, and installers to ensure existing and planned pipe projects adhere to specified standards.
CEU eligibility: 1.00 Credit
Pipe Installation (1 Hour)
Learning Objective: Provide attendees with a detailed understanding on the proper installation of pipe.
Course Overview: Learn how properly adhering to DOT installation standards for pipe will increase the longevity and value of infrastructure by reducing potential failures and decreasing maintenance costs. Gain an understanding of the differences that ACPA has documented comparing the installation of flexible and rigid culverts at the city, county and state levels. This course can empower specifiers, designers, inspectors, and installers to ensure existing and planned pipe projects adhere to specified standards.
CEU eligibility: 1.00 Credit
Post Installation Inspection (1 Hour)
Learning Objective: Provide attendees with a detailed understanding of post installation inspection practices and standards.
Course Overview: Learn common practices to protect the owner’s best interest by ensuring all pipes in their system have been properly installed and that the pipeline system is uncompromised. Post Installation Inspection (PII) provides the owner the information needed to determine whether proper installation occurred prior to project close-out or final acceptance.
CEU eligibility: 1.00 Credit
Precast Culvert Design | Installation (1 Hour)
Course Overview: Identify local and national standards to determine critical components for common culvert systems. Learn standard design and installation procedures to ensure life expectancy and mitigate potential problem areas. This course will empower engineers, inspectors and installers with a product that can be competitively designed with enhanced creativity for a growing infrastructure.
CEU eligibility: 1.00 Credit
Jacking Pipe (1 Hour)
Learning Objective: Provide attendees an understanding of jacking pipe for trenchless applications.
Course Overview: Course Objective: Learn how jacking concrete pipe in a trenchless installation can be cost effective and improve roadway safety. Explore techniques used to jack culvert pipe that can expedite the construction time and save you money.
